Want to Wine Taste While You are Here?

Paso Robles and the surrounding areas have many wonderful vineyards that offer tours and wine tasting. Most places let you taste for free and the wine is about the same price as you would fine in the grocery store or in a beverage shop. For information on many vineyards in the area or to create a map of the tour you want to take go to Paso Wine Country Alliance. There are over 300 vineyards in the area.

If you want to taste and don’t know where to start you can take the KC recommended tour. There are 5 vineyards in about a 15 mile area that I really like. Take Highway 46 East to EOS then continue on to Tobin James. EOS has a self guided tour you can take that includes barrel rooms and labs. After Toben James head west and look for Laura’s and Eberly. Eberly is beautiful and over looks the grape fields. They also have a guided cave tour that takes you below ground to see where they age the wine. If you are still able head west again on Highway 46 to J. Lohr. J. Lohr is further out of the way but it is worth the 5 minute drive (it’s my favorite). A map of the trip will be coming soon.

If you have a favorite kind of wine, looking for something unique or want a trip that is off the beaten path please email me and I can help out. Wine tasting has become a bit of a hobby for me.

You don’t need to go to Peachy Canyon to wine taste because tasting will be provided before and after the ceremony.

We found a place for the Reception!!

La BellaseraWell, luckily we didn’t have to look too far to find a beautiful location for our wedding reception. After looking at many places that were much further away we landed on a beautiful hotel called La Bellasera.

This should make a great location for the wedding reception. The ball room is attractive, the food is amazing and it is approx. 1 mile down highway 46 from the ceremony directly off of highway 101. The rooms at the hotel are very nice and priced a little on the high side starting at $240/night Fri-Sat. We have reserved several rooms for our guest so please let the Hotel know you are there for the Forrester – Cook Wedding.

Across the parking lot there is also a Hampton Inn Hotel which has rooms starting at $159/night Fri-Sat.

You can use this link to map out driving directions from your home. You can also use this link to get directions from the ceremony to the hotel.
